-Decor-

I love to get foil number balloons for birthdays because they provide an excellent photo op and it's an easy way to get (force) your loved ones to take some cute pictures. We purchased these from Pardon my Garden/A Black Tie Affair ($38.42).

We repurposed our tiki bar into a saloon for this western themed party. I printed out a few of these 'Wanted' posters with the birthdays boy's faces on them and nailed them up around our barn.

-Food-

The chalkboards are abut $2 at the dollar store and are great for themed food. The menu included:

Hay Bales (Rice Krispie Squares)

Cowboy Caviar (Bean & Corn Salad)

Pigs in a Blanket

Out SLaw Salad (Coleslaw)

We had a good friend smoke a chunk of pork for pulled sandwiches and served up some chili with a topping bar.

The cupcakes were super cute and simple. I used a Pringle and a Mini Reeses Cup to create a cowboy hat on to of a double chocolate cupcake. You could also use a Rolo but Parry Sound was sold out!

-Crafting-

Since it was a milestone birthday and my husband basically created a memory balloon forest* for me for mine I wanted to make something special for him and his twin. I cut out the shape of a horseshoe from some stiff poster board and glued on a bunch of pictures of them through the years.

The birthday boys each got a gold sheriff badge and another friend who was also celebrating got a silver deputy badge. I used this template (hilariously from a Texan preschool curriculum) to cut them out of sparkly cardstock purchased from dollarama. I hot glued a safety pin on the back to easily attach the badges to their shirts.

Overall it was an awesome day for an outdoor party and we managed to rustle up a wild wild west party for our 30 year old partners!

*For the Memory Balloon Forest he had friends and family send him a picture and write a note with a fond memory. He attached them all to helium balloons and filled our living. These balloons were purchased at Party City and filled by Alexis at Any Theme Balloons.
