P turned 2 in August and we threw him a Wiggles themed birthday party! He is obsessed with their songs (Papadum, Michael Finnegan, the list goes on...) so we knew he would flip for this theme.
DECOR
It wasn't too tricky because the bulk of the decor was their colour scheme (Red, Blue, Purple, and Yellow). I picked up tablecloths from Dollarama and Walmart in these colours as well as all the plates, napkins, and cutlery. I also picked up some ribbons on a whim since they had all the right colours and they actually held the table clothes down nicely and looked really cute.
A Crafty Affair came through with cute mason jar centrepieces for the food tables with Wiggles quotes and made a sign with their logo that we nailed up to our barn door for photos.
Our shirts were created by the ever talented Josh & Van at North of Muskoka Embroidery. The birthday boys shirt was ordered off Etsy.

I ordered the balloons from my favourite vendor, Any Theme Balloons! She always nails the colours I'm looking for and is so accommodating.

I found a blog through Pinterest with some free printables so I was able to make a "Happy Birthday" banner and some cupcake toppers using my printer and some cardstock.

FOOD
There was the usual party food laid out throughout the afternoon (meat & cheese, veggies and dip, chips, taco and Buffalo chicken dip). For dinner we had a BBQ with hamburgers, sausages, and hot dogs. We had sides of pasta salad, mac salad, Caesar salad, and shrimp salad. Needless to say we'll be eating these left overs for the next week.
Last but not least... The cake & cupcakes! I made a vegan chocolate cake with butterless buttercream for my little dude who is allergic to dairy and egg sensitive. My MIL found these Wiggle figurines from Toys r Us and they made the perfect cake toppers.
I baked a wide variety of cupcakes including: Lemon Blueberry, Reese's, Cookies & Cream, Key Lime, and Vanilla.

Stay tuned for more party ideas! The pandemic has affected the access we all have to party supplies but don't forget about the local small businesses I've mentioned in this blog. I'm always happy to create custom cakes and cupcakes for my clients so shoot me a message and we'll work together to have your vision come to life!
