This was a baby shark birthday for a sweet one year boy. We had the obvious snacks like gold fish, sea salt chips, and bubble gum, but I found a cute idea for the ice cubes on my favourite party planning sites, Pinterest. We froze some gummy sharks into the ice cube trays. As they melt in the kids punch the sharks would lurk in the bottom of their glasses. They were thrilled.

Gummy Shark Ice Cubes for the Blue Raspberry Punch and "bubbles" in the background. All purchased at Bulk Barn.

The cupcakes and cake were both vegan *except* for the fins that were freehanded with melting chocolate. The design on the cake was also free handed.

Crafting

I had left over poster board from the 'ONE' banner so I made the shark faces by just estimating the shape of their head, adding the white printer paper, and then just cutting the mouth out of red construction paper and sticking it on top. The eyes were last and I cut out a small piece of white paper to add the sparkle. If you glue all of it to the poster board before you cut it out you can add the boarder around the eyes which makes it look a little bit better in my opinion.

I found the banner print out here. It's for a 'Where the Wild Things are' theme party. I just printed out the letters I needed but this is a great resource if you're throwing a 'Wild One' birthday!
