For this event we rented Waubamik Hall in McKeller as we expected 20+ guests. It was a great size and came with an abundance of tables, chairs, and a stocked kitchen. I knew the wedding theme would be aquatic so we decided to go with something along those lines as well.

This Photo Booth was a really simple set up with a tablecloth and these foil balloons from Etsy. I love these balloons because you can deflate and re-inflate them as needed!
We went for a traditional wedding style set up with the bride and bridesmaids at a head table and smaller tables for guests. The twinkly lights were purchased from Home and the tablecloths/plates/cutlery/cups were from the dollar store and Walmart.

The tassels were made from tissue paper following these directions. They were a bit tedious so I scheduled a "crafter-noon" with local graphic designer and artist, Autumn. The light up 'Eat' sign was purchased from Walmart and makes an appearance at most of my events. I had the palm leaves leftover from our Luau that I had purchased at the dollar store.

There were a few kids attending the shower so to keep with the theme I brought Finding Nemo to play on my laptop and colouring sheets as well as crayons, stickers, and slime purchased from the dollar store.
We had a table for the gifts and favours. I got these free printables from an extensive search on Pinterest. The favours consisted of dollar store gift bags ($1.25), ribbons ($3), and gummies (2x Blue Whales, 4x Sour Spiders -aka octopi, 3x diamond rings, and 3x life savers). It cost about $1/bag to create.
Of course I wouldn't throw a party without baking some custom cupcakes! I found a mermaid tail mold on amazon and did my favourite vanilla buttercream garden party icing on top of vanilla cupcakes.
